Welcome to my Blog!
When I was little my savta taught me that “silence was a women’s best garment”. But, I have to admit. I never really took her advice to heart.

Hi. My name is Colton Gonzalez and as you can see, you are here at the beginning of my new blog that I will be updating weekly. Some minor details and info about me include being a Senior at Marian University and participating in the varsity wrestling program that my university offers. If you haven’t noticed by now, I am a huge video game advocate and love spending my free time playing, analyzing or watching gaming related content. Ever since I was young I enjoyed playing video game titles like Call of Duty or Madden and NCAA football/basketball games. I was introduced to video games early on in my life as my family owned a PlayStation 1 and I played it regularly as a young child.
In this blog, topics such as meta changes and developer notes will be present throughout a weekly basis on games such as Fortnite and Rainbow 6 Siege. I plan to first cover these two titles specifically. However, if content is dry and the meta is unchanged, I will look to expand my horizons to games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and/or Apex Legends. For now though, the blog and its content will be related to the titles formerly mentioned above.
As always, competition and collaboration can both be positives and negatives to a market. So as I look to find other ideas and perspectives, it will be of upmost importance to stay up to date with other blogs and bloggers and review their take on the recent changes to games like Fortnite and Rainbow 6.

Within these other blogs are a great source of ideas and information as well. As it is always hard to be the “first to the punch” my blog will not only be looking to provide the latest and greatest information, but also offer ideas and ways to improve the game play performance for not only the “Hardcore Casuals” but also the ultra-competitive player who cares deeply about the games core mechanics and its balance between operators and player base.
Something this blog will strive to do is to provide transparency and objectivity within the aligned boundaries. Of course, there will be sections presented with subjectivity and free thinking, nevertheless, this is a personalized blog and I will be voicing my opinions of the recent meta and balances within the game. However, I will do this with maintaining factual evidence of recent changes and truthful reporting of what is going on in the world/community of Rainbow 6 or Fortnite. One way I will ensure to promote 100% objectivity will be through the use of developer/patch notes. With each new “big” update or hot fix within the games mechanics, there comes a set of patch notes. Within these patch notes include the newest changes to the games mechanics and how it may possibly effect players from all categories. These notes provide analyzation to how the game has been working in the past few months or weeks and how the developers would like to see a shift/change in the way their game is being played. All in all, the game must stay fresh and feel new to players in order to avoid the sensing feeling of a stagnate game, and in order to do this developers are looking for new innovative and creative ways to allow the game to feel new and refreshing across all spectrum’s.
